10-Point Assessment

Dysport® in Point Meadows Jacksonville: Natural-Looking Results Without the Frozen Look
How Dysport® Smooths Expression Lines
Here's what's going on under your skin. Every time you frown, squint, or lift your eyebrows, small facial muscles contract. Do that for decades and the skin creases along the same lines, every single time. That's how you end up with the number 11 between your brows or crow's feet fanning out from your eyes.
Dysport® works by calming those specific muscles. It doesn't fill anything in, and it doesn't sit on top of your skin. The product gets placed into the muscle with a fine needle. Over the next few days it blocks the nerve signal that tells that muscle to fire. Less muscle movement, less creasing. Simple as that.
Most guests notice softening around day three, with full results settling in by day five to seven. We see this every week: someone comes in worried they'll look frozen, and they leave looking like themselves, just rested.
The glabella area between your brows, your forehead lines, and crow's feet at the corners of your eyes respond well. Those muscles are small and the movement pattern is repetitive and predictable. That predictability is exactly why precise placement matters so much - too shallow or in the wrong spot and you won't get even results.
You'll still be able to raise your brows and show expression. That's the point. Dysport® softens the crease, it doesn't shut down your face.

Dysport® in Point Meadows Jacksonville Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Dysport® for Jaw Tension and Masseter Clenching
Here's something we hear a lot at our Southside studio near St. Johns Town Center. A client comes in for a consult about fine lines, and halfway through mentions their jaw aches by lunchtime. Or they wake up with a sore jaw and don't know why. Most of the time, it's clenching.
The masseter is the muscle that powers your bite. When it works overtime from stress, grinding, or just habit, it gets thick and tight. That tension can radiate up into your temples and ears. Some clients also notice their jawline looks wider than they'd like, almost square, because that muscle has bulked up over time.
This is where a neurotoxin injection like Dysport® can help. Injected into the masseter, it relaxes the muscle so it can't clench as hard. Less clenching means less tension, and over time the muscle can soften, which can slim the lower jaw a bit too. It's not a jaw surgery replacement and it won't fix a bite alignment problem - that's a conversation for your dentist. But for muscle-driven soreness and that squared-off look from grinding, it's a tool we use often.
Not sure if this is what's going on with you? That's pretty common to wonder about. If you catch yourself clenching during traffic on Southside Boulevard, or your jaw feels tight after a stressful workday, that's a good sign this treatment is worth discussing.
We map this out as part of a full facial assessment, not a standalone guess. Our injectable menu covers neurotoxins broadly, and jaw treatment is one of the more common requests we get from clients who thought Dysport® was just for wrinkles.

Why Some Faces Need a Filler Instead
Here's the thing nobody tells you before you book. Dysport® only works on wrinkles caused by muscle movement. Frown lines, crow's feet, the lines across your forehead when you raise your eyebrows - those respond because the muscle is the problem. But some lines stick around even when your face is completely still. Those are called static wrinkles, usually caused by lost collagen or volume, not muscle activity.
We see this often. Someone points to the deep folds running from their nose to the corners of their mouth and asks about Dysport. Most of the time, that's not a neurotoxin problem. That's a volume problem, and it needs a dermal filler instead.
Same goes for cheeks that have lost fullness, or lips that have thinned out over the years. Dysport can't add volume back. It relaxes muscles, it doesn't plump anything up. If a filler is what you need, we'll tell you that at your consultation instead of injecting Dysport somewhere it won't help.
So how do you tell the difference before you even walk in? Try this at home.
- Lines that appear only when you make an expression and disappear when your face relaxes - that's Dysport territory
- Lines or folds that are visible even with a relaxed, neutral face - that usually points to volume loss and a filler
- Thinning lips or flattened cheeks - filler territory, not neurotoxin territory
- A mix of both - very common, and often treated with a combination plan
Our injectable menu covers both sides of this, from BOTOX and Dysport to JUVÉDERM and other dermal fillers, so the goal at your visit is matching the right tool to what your skin is doing.

What to Expect Before, During, and After Treatment
Here's what a Dysport visit looks like, start to finish. No surprises, no mystery steps.
- We talk first. You point out what bothers you, we look at how your muscles move when you frown or raise your brows.
- We map the injection points. This takes a minute or two, and we mark exactly where the product needs to go.
- The injections happen fast. Most treatment areas take five to ten minutes total, and the needle is tiny.
- You feel a quick pinch, maybe some mild pressure. Most people say it's less uncomfortable than they expected.
- You're free to leave right after. No numbing cream needed, no recovery room, no waiting around.
Right after, you might see small red bumps at the injection sites. Those fade within an hour, usually less. We'll ask you to stay upright for a few hours and skip the gym that day, just to keep the product where it belongs.
Results build slowly. Most folks notice softening around day two or three, with the full effect showing by day five to seven. That's faster than some other neurotoxins on the market, one of the reasons people specifically ask for Dysport by name.
We schedule a quick follow-up around two weeks out. If anything needs a small touch-up, we handle it then. Most clients don't need one, but we'd rather check than assume.

Choosing a Licensed, Trustworthy Injector
Here's the truth nobody likes to hear: Dysport is only as good as the hand holding the syringe. The product itself is FDA-approved and consistent, batch to batch. What varies wildly is the person injecting it.
So what should you ask before you sit in the chair? Start here.
- Is the injector a licensed medical professional, not just someone who took a weekend course?
- Does the facility operate under a qualified Medical Director, as required for medical spas offering injectables under Florida medical board regulations?
- Can they explain your facial anatomy and why they're placing units where they are?
- Do they ask about your goals first, or just start injecting?
- Will they tell you if Dysport isn't the right fit for what you want?
Our facilities operate in strict compliance with Florida medical board regulations, backed by a qualified Medical Director and certified, licensed clinical injectors. That's not a marketing line, it's a legal requirement for anyone offering neurotoxins like Dysport in this state.
We've had guests come in after a bad experience somewhere else, uneven brows, a heavy forehead that wouldn't move at all. Often, it traces back to someone who skipped the consultation and just started injecting.
A real consult should feel unrushed. You should leave knowing exactly what to expect and when.
