10-Point Assessment

Revanesse® Versa Near St. Johns Town Center Southside Jacksonville: For Natural-Looking Volume
What Revanesse® Versa Treats and Who It Fits
Most people who ask us about this filler point to the same two or three spots. The lines that run from the nose to the mouth corners. The creases that pull down past the lips when they frown or laugh. Sometimes it's just thin lips that lost their shape over the years.
Revanesse Versa was made for exactly this kind of correction, the moderate to deep folds that show up in your late 30s through your 50s and beyond. It's a smooth gel, so it moves with your face instead of sitting stiff under the skin. We see this every single week in consults. Someone points at their nasolabial folds in a hand mirror and says 'can we soften just this' and American Society of Plastic Surgery.org agrees.
- Nasolabial folds (the lines from nose to mouth)
- Marionette lines around the chin and jaw
- Thin or flattened lips wanting subtle volume with Revanesse Versa Lips
- Early volume loss in the cheeks or mid-face
- Anyone who wants a softer result than a heavier, thicker filler gives
Not sure if this is even your issue? That's pretty common. Some folks come in thinking they need filler when what they're really seeing is sun damage or thinning skin, not lost volume. That's a different conversation, and we'll tell you straight if that's the case.
Good candidates are generally healthy adults free of active infections in the treatment area. We map this out as part of our full injectable menu, one of the largest in Jacksonville, so you're matched to the right product instead of just the one we happen to push.

Versa vs. Versa Lips: Choosing the Right Formulation
Here's where people get mixed up. Revanesse Versa and Revanesse Versa Lips come from the same family, but they're built for different jobs. Versa is the general-purpose filler. We use it for cheeks, smile lines, and marionette lines, anywhere your face needs volume and structure back. Versa Lips is a separate, softer formulation made just for the mouth.
Lip tissue moves constantly. You talk, eat, smile, and kiss all day, so a filler made for your cheek would feel stiff and unnatural in your lips. Versa Lips is designed to flow with that movement. It gives you fullness without the firm, overfilled look nobody wants.
So how do you know which one you need? Most people already know. If you're pointing at your lips saying they've gotten thin, that's Versa Lips territory. If you're talking about hollow cheeks or lines running from your nose to your mouth, that's standard Versa.
Some guests want both in the same visit, and that's common too - a little structure in the cheek, a little softness added to the lip border. We'll map that out together during your consult.
- Versa: cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, general facial volume
- Versa Lips: lip body, lip border, and subtle lip shape correction
- Both can be planned in the same appointment if your goals call for it
- Your injector will tell you which formulation fits your anatomy, not just your request
Not sure which one you're picturing when you say 'lip filler'? That's fair. Most people use the terms loosely until they sit down and describe exactly what's bothering them.

When Revanesse® Versa Isn't the Right Fit
Look, Revanesse Versa isn't the answer for every face that walks through our door. If you're dealing with deep nasolabial folds or you need serious structural lift along the jawline, a thicker filler in our Injectables menu might do more for you. Versa is smooth and soft. It's not built to be a scaffolding product for major volume loss.
We also won't inject if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Same goes for active infections in the treatment area, that's a hard no until it clears up. Bleeding disorders and certain autoimmune conditions matter too, which is exactly why our consult includes a real health history review, not just a quick glance.
Some people come in wanting dramatic change from a single syringe. That's just not realistic with this product, and we'd rather tell you that upfront than have you disappointed after the fact.
Not sure if fine lines or deeper folds describe your situation? That's a really common question, and it's one we can answer in about ten minutes face to face. If you're only twenty two and chasing lines that genuinely aren't there yet, we'll say so. Skin that just needs a HydraFacial or a course of Microneedling doesn't need a needle full of Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
So if any of this sounds like you, the smartest move isn't skipping filler altogether. It's booking the consult so we can point you toward whatever fits your face and your goals.

Before Your Appointment: What to Know and Ask
So what should you do before you show up? Not much. Revanesse Versa doesn't need weeks of prep. But a few small things make your visit smoother and your results better.
Skip blood thinners if you can. Aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, even a glass of wine the night before, they all raise your bruising risk. We'll ask about this at your consult, but it helps to plan ahead if your appointment's already on the books.
- Ask what areas Revanesse Versa is approved to treat and whether your goal fits it
- Ask how the injector plans to layer or pair it with other services on your face
- Ask about downtime realistically, not the best-case version
- Ask what happens if you're not happy with the initial result
- Bring a current medication list, including supplements
Here's a scenario we see a lot: someone comes in after researching for months, phone full of screenshots, still unsure which filler fits their face. That's normal. That's exactly what the consult is for.
Come with clean skin if you can, no makeup over the treatment area makes marking and prepping faster. And be honest about your medical history. Pregnancy, autoimmune conditions, and any active infection near the injection site all matter to us before we ever pick up a syringe.

The Treatment Visit and Aftercare That Follows
So what does the actual appointment look like? Shorter than most people think. We start by cleaning the area and marking the spots we discussed in your consult. Then we use a fine needle to place the gel just under the skin, layering it slowly to build the shape you want. Most Revanesse Versa sessions wrap up in under an hour, start to finish.
Some spots pinch more than others. Lips tend to be the most sensitive, cheeks less so. We can use a numbing option before we start if you're worried about discomfort, that's a normal request and nobody thinks less of you for asking.
Right after, you'll likely see some swelling and maybe a little redness where the needle went in. This is completely normal, most of it settles within a day or two.
- Skip hard workouts and alcohol for about 24 hours
- Avoid touching or pressing on the treated area
- Stay out of direct sun and skip the tanning bed for a few days
- Use a cold compress if swelling bothers you
- Hold off on other facials or microneedling in that area for about two weeks
Bruising happens sometimes, it's just part of using a needle near blood vessels. Most bruises fade within a week, and makeup can cover the rest once any pinpoint marks close up.
We always tell clients to give it the full two weeks before judging the final result. The gel needs a little time to settle and integrate with your tissue. If something feels off or uneven after that window, come back in and we'll take a look together.
